Eve Markoski-Wood has reportedly reconnected with her estranged biological father following the arrest of her stepfather, fitness entrepreneur Sam Wood, on domestic violence charges in Noosa.
Wood, 46, was arrested after police were called to a luxury property on Hastings Street on Saturday night. He has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm in a domestic violence context and strangulation in a domestic setting. He remains in custody and is due back in court on Thursday, when his lawyer is expected to seek bail. Wood has said he intends to defend the charges.
Eve, who was raised primarily by her mother Snezana, is understood to have spoken with her biological father, Jason Rapoff, following the arrest. Rapoff reportedly confirmed that he had been in contact with his daughter and said he was not concerned about her safety.
His mother, Sophia Rapoff, also addressed online speculation surrounding the family, dismissing claims that her son could have been involved in the incident. She said Jason was thousands of kilometres away in Western Australia and stressed that Eve was “fine”.
The renewed contact comes after Eve previously spoke publicly about her difficult relationship with her biological father. In 2025, she revealed that she had not seen him for years and recalled a deeply hurtful comment he had allegedly made to her.
For now, the family remains under intense public scrutiny as the court proceedings continue.
